The trek takes around 3-4 days to complete, depending on the speed of the trekkers and the weather conditions. The trek is considered moderate in difficulty, It is worthy for both beginners and experienced trekkers. However, Some parts of the trail may be steep and challenging.

There are several picturesque camping spots along the trail where trekkers can set up their tents and spend the night amidst nature. The best time to undertake the Beas Kund Trek, Himachal Pradesh is during the summer months, from May to October, when the weather is pleasant and the trails are mostly clear of snow. Some trekkers also opt for the winter trekking experience, which requires proper gear and preparation for cold weather conditions. Heavier snowfall usually occurs from late December to early February. The region transforms into a winter wonderland during this time, attracting tourists and winter sports enthusiasts.

Itinerary

Day 1: Manali to Dhundi by trek

• Residing: overnight stay at the campsite in tents.

• Snack: Lunch and Dinner

• Trek Distance: Manali to Dhundi by Road – 14 km

Your journey will starts from Manali and head towards the village of Solang Nallah, base camp for the Beas Kund trek. Begin the trek from there and hike through lush green meadows and dense forests,.Then reach Dhundi, which is approximately 8 kilometers from Solang Nallah, and set up camp for the night. Dhundi is a camping spot beside the Beas River, offering a peaceful atmosphere amidst nature.

 

Day 2: Dhundi to Bakarthach by trek

• Residing: overnight stay at the campsite.

• Snacks: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner

• Trek Distance: 5 km, Time Taken: approx. 4 hrs.

After a delicious breakfast, continue your trek from Dhundi towards Beas Kund. The trail passes through rocky terrain, Where you might encounter patches of snow, especially during the winter months.Reach Bakarthach, a  camping site situated at an altitude of around 3,300 meters, and set up camp for the night. Bakarthach is surrounded by snow-capped peaks and beautiful views.

Day 3:: Bakartahch to Beas Kund and Lady Leg by Trek

• Residing: overnight stay at the campsite.

• Snacks: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner.

• Trek Distance: 5 km, Time Taken: approx. 8 hrs.

Begin the day with a hearty breakfast at Bakarthach and then proceed towards Beas Kund, which is approximately 3 kilometers from Bakarthach.Trek through rocky ground and snow patches to reach Beas Kund, a glacial lake surrounded by towering mountains.Spend some time exploring the area around Beas Kund and soak in the majestic beauty of the surroundings.After exploring Beas Kund, start your descent back to Bakarthach and spend another night camping amidst the mountains

Day 4: Bakarthach to Solang Nallah by trek

• Residing – Overnight stay at the campsite.

• Snacks – Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Distance – 9 km

• Time Taken – approx. 11 hrs

Wake up early and have breakfast at Bakarthach before beginning your descent back to Solang Nallah.Trek back through the same route, enjoying the scenic views and serene atmosphere one last time.Reach Solang Nallah by afternoon and conclude your Beas Kund trek.From Solang Nallah, you can arrange for transportation back to Manali to continue your journey or head back home.

  • Backpack: A sturdy backpack with a capacity of at least 40-50 liters to carry all your essentials.

To ensure a hassle-free experience, we recommend making your booking at least two months in advance. If you do need to cancel your trek, please inform us in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive written advice.

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

We have designed a cancellation policy that is fair, feasible, and convenient for all our customers. The procedure is as follows:

  • If you cancel your trek 21 or more days before the start date, we will deduct 10% towards GST and transaction charges and refund 90% as a trek voucher valid for 1 year.
  • If you cancel your trek 15-20 days before the start date, we will deduct 30% towards GST, transaction, accommodation at base, ration, etc., and refund 70% as a trek voucher valid for 1 year.
  • If you cancel your trek 7-14 days before the start date, we will deduct 50% towards GST, transaction, accommodation at the base, ration, trek leaders, permits, equipment, etc., and refund 50% as a trek voucher that is valid for 1 year.
  • If you cancel your trek 1-6 days before the start date, we will deduct 100% as all arrangements have been made, and we are ready to take you on the trek.

  • The voucher will be valid for 12 months from the date of issuance.
  • The voucher can be used for any trek with Hello Hikers.
